This page describes our current Dooer Sales integrations.

Submit sales data from Shopify

Background

This article describes how to create an API access token in Shopify so that you can submit your sales data from Shopify to Dooer Sales.

At present, this integration requires that Voitto manages your accounting. By using this integration, Voitto can automatically record your sales through Shopify without you having to manually provide any sales data.

What you need to do before you start

To enable this integration, you need a Shopify account where you can log in as an administrator for your Shopify store. Once you have completed the steps below, you also need to contact your personal accountant at Voitto to activate the integration in Dooer.

How to create an API access token

Follow these steps to create your API access token in Shopify:

  1. Log in to Shopify at shopify.com/login.
  2. In the left-most sidebar, click “Apps >”.
  3. In the search bar that shows up, click “App and sales channel settings” at the bottom.
  4. In the new view, click “Develop apps” in the upper-right corner.
  5. Click the button “Allow custom app development”.
  6. In the new view, click “Allow custom app development”.
  7. Click “Create an app”.
  8. In the modal dialog that shows up, provide an “App name” and click “Create app”.
  9. In the full-screen view that shows up for the new app, click the tab “Configuration”, then click “Configure” in the section called “Admin API integration”.
  10. In the long list of scopes in the section called “Admin API access scopes”, do the following:
    1. In the section “Orders”, tick the one called read_orders.
    2. In the section “Shopify Payments payouts”, tick the one called read_shopify_payments_payouts.
  11. Click “Save” in the upper-right corner.
  12. Next, click “Install app” in the upper-right corner and confirm by clicking “Install” in the modal dialog that shows up.
  13. You are now presented with a section called “API credentials” (if not, just click that tab). Click the link called “Reveal token once”.

Store the API token safely and note that it can only be presented once.

Send this API token to Voitto so that they can enable your Shopify integration.
