FAQ

How do I add a bank account?

Please read the following article for instructions on how to add a bank account.

Can I sync my tax account?

Yes, add tax accounts the same way you add a bank account by selecting Skatteverket - Skattekonto.

Can I sync PayPal accounts?

Yes, as long as the PayPal account is a business account and only has accounts in SEK. If there are accounts in other currencies, you cannot sync any account with Dooer.

Can I sync a private bank account?

No, bank accounts must be registered to the company to be syncable with Dooer.

Can I sync depot accounts?

No, we do not currently support depot accounts.

Can I manually set the account balance?

No, it is not possible to manually set a balance on a bank account. Balance, however, is automatically set if a bank account is synced through an integration with Dooer.

How do I see the booking for a transaction?

You can see if a transaction is booked in the following way:

  1. Go to the page Transaktioner.
  2. Booked transactions should have the status "Hanterad".
  3. Click on a transaction with this status.
  4. Go to the Detaljer tab.
  5. Here is information about which document or report the transaction is matched with.
  6. Open the details of this and click on the link Till dokumentet.

In the modal that then appears, click on the Bokföring tab to see which voucher applies to this booking.

What bookkeeping accounts are bank entities mapped to?

Dooer automatically maps certain bank-related entities (such as bank accounts) to specific bookkeeping accounts. Currently this mapping is not possible to change. The mapping is as follows:

  • 1630: Tax accounts at Skatteverket
  • 1930: Bank accounts (incl. PlusGiro accounts)
  • 1940: Paypal accounts
  • 1980: Currency accounts
  • 1998: Bankgiro accounts
  • 2890: Credit card accounts

Can I have manual currency accounts (valutakonton)?

It's currently not possible to set up manual currency accounts in Dooer (i.e. bank accounts where you can manually import transactions from your bank). We do support currency accounts for a select integrations if you sync automatically (see which we support here) which means that transaction amounts will be automatically converted to SEK based on the Riskbanken exchange rate at the time of the transaction.

Can I sync bank accounts on my phone?

It's currently not possible to sync bank accounts on your phone, i.e. on the same device as you need to start the BankID authentication. To sync your bank accounts you need to do it on a computer.

Why is my salary payment transaction marked as "Ohanterad"?

If you use Dooer Lön for making salaries and Dooer Bank for automatically paying out those salaries from your bank account, then the system will automatically detect (when syncing) which transactions are salary payments, link them to their respective payslip and mark them as "Hanterad".

If on the other hand you make the salary payments manually, there is a chance the system cannot automatically match them to your salary payslips as they might be lacking necessary metadata that they system adds automatically when making the payments.

Currently it's not possible to manually link a transaction to a payslip and mark it as Hanterad, so the workaround is to mark the transaction as Detta ska inte bokföras so you won't get any reminders about unhandled transactions.

You can do that like this:

  1. Go to the page Transaktioner.
  2. Find the transaction in question.
  3. Open the transaction by clicking on it.
  4. In the modal dialog, click Detta ska inte bokföras at the bottom.

Why are my tax payments automatically marked as handled but not booked?

Dooer expects that you sync both your bank accounts and your tax account at Skatteverket. The scenario described here happens when you only sync your bank accounts.

If you make tax payments through Dooer (e.g. for VAT and AGI) and then sync your bank accounts, these transactions will automatically get the status Hanterad because they can be automatically matched with the corresponding VAT and AGI reports. They do not get the status "Hanterad" because they are also automatically booked (which can be a bit counter-intuitive).

They only get automatically booked if you also sync your tax account, because then the system will detect the transfers and book them.

To make sure Dooer does all of the heavy-lifting possible for your bookkeeping, make sure to sync your tax account as well and the task of booking these transactions (and later the subsequent withdrawal from your tax account by Skatteverket) will happen automatically.
